$2,000 TAX CREDITS HALTED

Please be advised that Congress did NOT approve extension of the tax credits. If you are submitting a home to be a tax credit home, it must have been SOLD prior to December 31, 2009. Should you register a home for a builder, it is your responsibility to inform him of the end of the Program. When Congress comes back in session we are hoping to see the tax credits revived.

FEES FOR RESNET CORE EXAM SET UP

In the past, the Energy Gauge Office has been setting up RESNET Core Exams for our raters at no fee at remote locations. However, it has now become a very time consuming issue, with students not showing up for exams. So, beginning on September 1, 2008, for each test you request to be set up there will be a $35.00 set-up fee per date. If your test has been set up prior to September 1, 2008, you will not be assessed the fee until you request another exam.

To set up an exam, you will need to send e-mail to: TKucharski@fsec.ucf.edu with the name and address of the institution proctoring your test, the proctor's name, email address and phone number where they can be reached. Also include in the e-mail, your name, address, phone number and e-mail address, exact date and time. If any of this information is missing, the test will not be set up. Once you have sent me that e-mail, call the Energy Gauge Office at 321-638-1715 with your credit card number for payment. Once payment has been received, the test will be set up. After the test is set-up, there will no refunds for any reason.
